Ajit’s ‘Asal’ has been in the news even before its shooting began as interesting tidbits about its story, cast and crew trickled in. First it was about the music composer: Harris Jayaraj was replaced by Yuvan Shankar Raja who was overlooked for Bharadwaj. Then it was on the get ups of Ajit in ‘Asal’ and the storyline.
The latest news to emerge out of the ‘Asal’ camp is this: Silambarasan will be lending his voice for Ajit in the introductory song. A self-proclaimed fan and friend of Ajit, Simbu has already given quite a few hits as a singer. It is heard that Bharadwaj is working hard to come up with a special tune for Simbu to sing.
‘Asal’, directed by Saran, has the ‘Ultimate Star’ playing a double role, one a police officer and the other, his look-alike.

Director strictly told that, there will be no double meaning dialogues in his films as like earlier films of Simbu. Also we know that, Simbu will use to having his own way in everything he does; now he is finding it very hectic to dance to the tunes of the director’s debut. In addition to this, Director also commented that he will decide the hair style and costumes for his film irrespective of the hero’s choice. So Simbu was in dilemma and Gautham will rethink about this issue before making a film with him.

The Mumbai girl made an impressive debut in Simbu’s Silambattam, which has now become a hit. Sana Khan’s plus points include her ability to dance, which won her a lot of appreciation. She was noticed by many film makers, who approached her with the idea of casting her in their movies with upcoming stars.
But, it’s learnt that the actress openly stated that she wouldn’t mind her role and co-star, but wasn’t willing to compromise on her salary, which is Rs. 20 lakh! Given the meltdown scenario in the industry, filmmakers are hesitating to pay her such a hefty salary. It seems unless the actress reduces her salary, she will have no other option but to remain at home in Mumbai as a one film wonder!
