‘Kandhaswamy’, starring Chiyan Vikram and Shriya Saran in the lead, is gearing up for a mega release next month. The big budget action extravaganza, shot extensively in Europe, has been directed by Susi Ganesan.
The sound track of the film is slated to be released on May 17 and the movie will hit the theatres on June 12, post IPL-2. The film will be another landmark in the career of Vikram, who has been keeping a low profile since the flop of his ‘Bhima’. The superstar has sung four songs for the film. He appears in a few very different get ups in the film, including that of a beautiful lady and superman. The music and the background score has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film will be released as ‘Mallanna’ in Telugu.

The audio launch of Susi Ganesan’s mega film ‘Kandhasamy’, starring Vikram and Shriya Saran, will be held on May 17 at the Chennai Trade Center. Hectic preparations are on to make the show a grand success.
The function will be on a grand scale and producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu says, “The show will be the mother of all audio launches. There will be great style and grandeur never seen before in Tamil cinema. The entire event will be shown live on Sun TV.”
40 Italian dancers would be dancing to the tunes of the title song and Vikram would sing two songs from the film. Vikram, Shriya and music composer Devi Sri Prasad would be seen dancing on stage.

Vishal starrer ‘Pista’, directed by Ayyappan, will be released on May 14. Shriya Saran plays the female lead in this action extravaganza. The film will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil (’Thoranai’).
After the B.O. debacle of ‘Salute’ (’Satyam’ in Tamil), Vishal has been very careful about his moves and has spared no effort to make the film a wholesome entertainer. This film is also a home production of the hero; his brother Vikram Krishna is the producer. Manisharma scores the music.
The cast of the film includes Prakash Raj, Ali, Tanikella Bharani, MS Narayana, Telangana Sakuntala, Annapurna, Geeta, Surya and others. Priyan is the cinematographer.

Everyone knows Kollywood beauty Shriya Saran is busy with her upcoming debut ‘Kandhasamy’, the mega budget film by Susie Ganesan, for past one year with Vikram. The recent gossip of that movie is, she has wearing a costume and jewellery worth of Rs 4.5 crore for a stunning song sequence. Already the film has crossed the marked budget but now the Director is spending too much money for this song sequence.
Shriya Saran’s costume for one of the scene of that song was worth nearly around Rs.26 lakh and the jewellery, Rs.4 crore. Crore rupees spent on jewellery do not make for many a furrowed brow nowadays. Also the shooting for the film is almost over and is all set for release for the next month.
