One of the highest paying distributors from Chennai Abirami Mall, Abirami Ramanathan has bagged the rights from the producer Kalaipuli.S Thanu for a whole sum of Rs 4.01 Crore. Previously he bought the Rajni starrer ‘Sivaji’ film rights for Rs. 6 crore for Chennai theatres.

Director Shankar and Veteran Hero Rajinikanth are going all out to cut costs for Endhiran(The Robot), by shooting in parts of Tamil Nadu , the streets of Chennai and on studio settings.
After shooting at a private engineering college in Vellore, the unit moved further to south to Kelavakkam near Tirupur. Here, scenes were shot at a private education institute, with Aishwarya rai as a college student and Rajinikanth as a scientist. The same institute was used by Shankar for shooting the climax lead for his Sivaji.
Meanwhile, the team will now shift to a Chennai studio for a dream song of the student who gets smitten by the scientist! To shoot two of his earlier songs, director had gone to Peru, Los Angels, parts of US and the Sunny beaches of Goa. Knowing Shankar’s penchant for grandeur, one can expect this song to be shot on a lavish scale.
Tamannah is on a roll as her Tamil film with Dhanush Padikathavan is releasing from Pongal, while her Telugu film with Siddharth Koncham Kashtam Koncham Ishtam is releasing on Republic day. The audio launch functions of both films were held within a few hours of each other in Chennai and Hyderabad respectively.
The Sindhi girl from Mumbai surprised guests at both functions by speaking in good Tamil and Telugu – something that’s yet to be mastered by a lot of north Indians!

Today I saw shocking news regarding actor Vijay’s upcoming film Villu with Dance master cum Director Prabhu Deva. Such that that major portions of the unedited film were leaked through the internet.
It was stated that the fight scene of the Villu film of nearly 10-minutes was available at a free site. The scene shot at Chennai, and it is the part of the hilarious opening scenes in the Prabhudeva movie. In this scene — Vijay, draped in fluorescent sarees jumping from a height and beating up the baddies. So the entire crew was fed up with this action of the person who leaked the unedited scene of the film.
