Vishnu Vardhan’s ‘Sarvvam’, starring Arya and Trisha in the lead, has been cleared by the censors with a ‘U’ certificate, without any cuts. It was feared that Trisha’s bikini-act shot in Goa might be objected to by the censors. But the scene has been retained, it is learnt.
Vishnu Vardhan, who has directed the much acclaimed ‘Billa’, has done another high quality film in ‘Sarvvam’. Nirav Shah’s cinematography will be another highlight of the film. For Arya, on cloud nine after the thumping success of Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’, this action film will open the gates to superstardom.
The producers, Ayngaran International, would release the film only after the Lok sabha elections and IPL finals, it is learnt.
Mohanlal’s big budget film ‘Casanova’ has been dropped, it is rumoured. The producers of the Rosshan Andrews film, the Confident Group of Companies, have backed out of the project, it is heard. The shooting for the film was expected to start on April 10 in Vienna.
The film, with a budget exceeding Rs 7 crore, was touted to be the costliest ever in Malayalam. It was the weak performance of Mohanlal starrer ‘Sagar Alias Jackie’ that prompted the producers to rethink on their project, it is believed. Another rumour has it that the budget for the film has been cut down to Rs 4.5 crore and that the film would be shot in Dubai, instead of Austria. The film has Arya, Lakshmi Rai, Bhavana and Priyanka in important roles.
Bollywood hottie Trisha has denied reports in certain section sections of the media which said that she would be debuting in Malayalam with a Dileep film by B.Unnikrishan. She has made it clear that she has no plans to do a Malayalam film in the near future as her hands are full with several assignments in Tamil and Telugu.
Trisha is currently busy with Gautham Menon’s ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’, starring Silambarasan in the lead. Her forthcoming films include Vishnuvardhan’s ‘Sarvam’ opposite Arya, Vetrimaran’s Dhanush starrer ‘Aadu Kalam’, Gautham Menon’s ‘Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam’ and ‘Craze’ in Telugu.

Everyone is waiting for the big release of Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’, with Arya in the lead, ‘Naan Kadavul’ all set to hit screens on Feb 6 of 2009. Bala’s shoot most of the film in the holy city, Banares and its story about how the normal man turns in to an Aghora sanyasi. So it must be a great delight for all religious seekers as well as to all folks in this world. The most giant walls for these films are Music Director Illayaraja and Arthur Wilson. Wilson cranks the camera and Illayaraja played music in this film.
It is the fourth project for Bala in his life carrier, and all his three films won a great applaud in Tamil film Industry. So we can expect ‘Naan Kadavul’ avatar Arya will get a minimum of one National award for this film. In addition to this, Pooja Umashankar plays the heroine in this film, which has been in the making for the last four years.
Director Bala couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the New Year. The audio of his film Naan Kadavul which stars Arya and Pooja in the lead, was released on New Year and the trailer which was screened on the occasion only raised expectations.
The function was attended by a host of stars, directors, producers and technicians including directors BaluMahendra and Mani Ratnam, and actors Surya and Vikram. On this occasion Balu MAhendra said, “Mark my words; this movie will fetch several awards in the International Circiut.” Also he added, “There was a time when I used to consider you as my kid. Now I look up at you as you’ve risen to Himalayan heights.”
Music Director Illayaraja, who has cored music for the film, was not seen at the function. However, Uttam Singh and Lyricist Valli represented him at the event.
