Malayali stars Prithviraj and Bhavana come together in Priya V’s next. The duo had acted together for the first time in ‘Swapnakkoodu’ in Malayalam, directed by Kamal.

Bhavana has been scouting for meaty roles in Tamil for quite a long while, as offers dried up after the superhit, ‘Jayam Kondaan’. She says it was because she refused to do glamour roles.

Bhavana, one of the busier actresses in Telugu, has another Tamil flick in the pipeline, ‘Mahatma’. She hopes that this film will give her a big break in Kollywood.

The release date of ‘Kandhasamy’ has been postponed to June 12 from May 29. The audio launch too has been delayed, from April 26 to May 10. Vikram and Shriya Saran play the lead roles in the film.

The mega budget action entertainer by Susi Ganesan has been one of the most hyped movies in recent times. Mind-blowing action sequences and breathtaking songs shot in exotic locations will be the highlights of the film, say insiders. Vikam has sung four songs for the movie. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.

Thought the shooting for the super hero movie is complete, the post production work, including graphics and animation, is taking longer than expected.

Vishal starrer ‘Pista’, directed by Ayyappan, will be released on May 14. Shriya Saran plays the female lead in this action extravaganza. The film will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil (’Thoranai’).

After the B.O. debacle of ‘Salute’ (’Satyam’ in Tamil), Vishal has been very careful about his moves and has spared no effort to make the film a wholesome entertainer. This film is also a home production of the hero; his brother Vikram Krishna is the producer. Manisharma scores the music.

The cast of the film includes Prakash Raj, Ali, Tanikella Bharani, MS Narayana, Telangana Sakuntala, Annapurna, Geeta, Surya and others. Priyan is the cinematographer.

Vishnu Vardhan’s ‘Sarvvam’, starring Arya and Trisha in the lead, has been cleared by the censors with a ‘U’ certificate, without any cuts. It was feared that Trisha’s bikini-act shot in Goa might be objected to by the censors. But the scene has been retained, it is learnt.

Vishnu Vardhan, who has directed the much acclaimed ‘Billa’, has done another high quality film in ‘Sarvvam’. Nirav Shah’s cinematography will be another highlight of the film. For Arya, on cloud nine after the thumping success of Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’, this action film will open the gates to superstardom.

The producers, Ayngaran International, would release the film only after the Lok sabha elections and IPL finals, it is learnt.

After Tamannaah, it is the turn of sultry siren Reema Sen. She has made it very clear that she will not be acting in Vishal’s ‘Theeratha Vikayattu Pillai’. But she was not willing to divulge the reasons for her change of mind to the media persons.

The film by debutant Thiru has three heroines and Reema was supposed to play the first female lead. Though it was earlier said that Bollywood hottie Bipasha Basu would be one of the heroines, later her name was replaced by Tamannaah’s. The latter reportedly declined the offer the other day as she had reservations about sharing screen space with two other female leads.

Reema has the same problem that Tamannah has. She had burnt her hands in Simbu’s ‘Vallavan’, another three-heroine movie.

Prabhas starrer ‘Billa’ in Telugu, yet another remake of Salim-Javed’s ‘Don’, is on its way to conquer the box-office. The much anticipated film, a rip off of Vishnuvardhan directed ‘Billa’ with Ajith in the lead,lives upto its billing and is as stylish as the original. The movie by Mehar Ramesh has loads of attitude and glamour.

Prabhas in the double role–underworld don Billa and his lookalike Ranga–has given a convincing performance. He has Anushka Shetty and Namitha for company in the glam department. Hansika Motwani appears in a sizzling item number to up the heat in the theatres.

Prabhas, with a chiselled body, looks stunning and fights like a dream in action sequences. He mouths the famous oneliners with convition, such as, “It is not only difficult to nab Don but also impossible”. As Billa, he is the picture of confidence. In style, Prabhas shows that he is second to none. The masses would find it difficult not to admire this anti-hero.The music by Mani Sharma is peppy and gives that edge of the seat feel. The visuals by Soundarrajan are stylish and beautiful, especially, the scenes in Malaysia.

Everyone knows the plot: Gangster Billa is killed by a police officer (played by Krishnam Raju). The officer wants to bust the entire racket with the help of a petty thief (Ranga) who has a striking resemblance to the don.

Ramesh has ’studied’ the original ‘Don’ and its remakes well, it seems. Efforts to add an extra Telugu flavour to the film sometimes go awry. The film is all set to become a landmark in the career of Prabhas and Mehar Ramesh.

Hugh Jackman said that, he is heartbroken his new film, ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’, was leaked online a month before its official release.

The movie, which focuses on the beginnings of Jackman’s clawed Marvel superhero Wolverine, is not scheduled for release in the U.S. until May 1, but a work print of the film began appearing online last week. 20th Century Fox said the FBI and Motion Picture Association of America were investigating and promised to prosecute those responsible.

The Australian actor, in Sydney to unveil 20 minutes of completed footage of the film to around 600 fans, said he was upset about the leak but still thinks fans will flock to see the movie in theaters. “It’s a serious crime and there’s no doubt it’s very disappointing — I was heartbroken by it,” Jackman said. “Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”

Jackman is on a world tour to promote the movie, making his first stop at Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbor, where much of the film was shot. He arrived at the venue by helicopter before swooping to the ground on a zip line.

Actress Kate Hudson and actor Owen Wilson’s on-off romance has finally come to an end after the former turned down the latter’s marriage proposal.

Contactmusic.com reports that the two started dating in 2006 after working together in “You, Me and Dupree”, but split in 2007. They were reunited earlier this year, but have decided to end their relationship after Hudson turned down Wilson’s marriage proposal.

The 68-year-old legend who is famous for his candid nature believes that getting the Academy award was a golden moment in Indian history but he told this song did not deserve the honour. Getting an Oscar is no doubt a great achievement but the song, for which we got the award, is not so special. Frankly I did not understand on what basis it was awarded. He told that he did not understand the lyrics of the composition and why it has become so popular that everybody from Indian political parties to International pop bands is eager to use it.
